At Kilsaran, we are trusted by businesses and contractors alike to produce quality construction materials that are fundamental in the creation of our national infrastructure, including large commercial buildings, domestic and agricultural construction, office blocks and major road networks.
We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced HGV Mechanic for our state-of-the art plant based in the Millennium Trade Park, Dublin. The successful candidate will have responsibility of routine Maintenance and repair of commercial and plant vehicles in an efficient and safety driven manner.
Responsibilities:
To maintain and repair commercial vehicles ensuring that they are roadworthy and in
good working order.
Maintain and repair plant vehicles to ensure that they are in good working order.
Diagnose Vehicle breakdowns.
Manage repair priorities in association with the Transport Manager.
Maintain paperwork in relation to maintenance of commercial and plant
vehicles.
Liaise with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that all statutory requirements
with respects to Health and Safety and Environment are implemented & adhered to.
Maintain the garage in a clean and orderly state at all times.
Carry out effective maintenance of fixed plants and equipment if required, including
management of spare parts and preventative maintenance schedules with
maintenance team.
Skills Required:
3 years' experience working in a busy garage, ideally on commercial HGV vehicles
Full / Part qualified Mechanic or proven experience in HGV repairs and maintenance
